Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) was formed in 2005 by Bechtel National, Inc., The University of California, Babcock & Wilcox Construction Co., Inc., and URS. These four companies joined forces in order to pursue the NNSA management and operations contract for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Together, LANS applies the talent and resources available from their parent organizations to bring the best systems, tools and practices to their work at LANL.
